Summer Camps Special Announcement
“Due to Covid-19, Starfish Tennis is unable to provide summer camps this year.
The city of Redondo Beach allows a maximum of two people per court. Therefore we are not able to have our regular summer camps. We apologize and wish things were different. If you are interested, we will have small workouts at SouthEnd, in the afternoons, that are age and level appropriate. If this interests you, please send us an email with your child’s name, age, and level, and we will do our best to create a small workout for the kids.
In addition, we are still offering private and semi-private lessons. Please text Vasile, at 310-989-5159, to schedule. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We are looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible as soon as we can!”
Vasile and Mindy

Students arrive by 8:30 to start their day. We start with warm-ups and stretching, an important and often forgotten part of the process towards improvement and success. This is followed by drills and games designed to focus on the shot of the day. Typically Mondays are Forehands, Tuesdays Backhands, Wednesdays Volleys, and Overheads, Thursdays are for serving. Fridays we pull everything together with fun games and a tournament.
Kids are divided up by skill level and there is always fluidity in groups depending on the students and improvement.
Half-day camps start at 8:30 and go to 12 noon. Full days start at 8:30 am, break for lunch at noon and start up again at 1 pm for the afternoon session. The days ends at 3 pm for full-day campers. You can bring your own lunch for a modest fee we will provide lunch from local favorite, Jack’s Pizza and sandwiches. Kids may choose off the menu that includes, salads, sandwiches, pasta, and pizza.
